Floor plan
Draw your room so tonight’s list can show you where people are sitting. Nobody is ever told which table — that stays yours to change.
Drawing the room is a job for a bigger screen — open this page on a laptop to move tables about. What you get here is the room as it is right now, which is the half worth having on a phone.

Pick a table to change it, or add one from the left.
Stops a two-top request landing on your ten-seater.
Off keeps the table for walk-ins and the phone.
Tables that can be pushed together for a bigger party. They still work on their own.
Guest book
Everyone who has ever booked. Built from your bookings — you never type a guest in.
Booking setup
How your room works. Changing any of this never touches a booking you have already taken.
One click: turning this on puts a booking form on your home page and points every “Book a table” button at it. It needs your phone number and the days and times you serve. While it is off, your page shows your phone number instead of a form.
On: a booking from your website is confirmed the moment it arrives — the guest gets their confirmation straight away, you get an email saying so, and it shows as Booked at once on Tonight. A party your tables can’t seat at that time (after the ones you hold back) still comes to you as a request. With no tables drawn, everything the form allows is confirmed. Off: every booking waits for your answer.
A table: the form asks for a date, a time and how many. An appointment: a service, a person if you list one, a date and a time — for salons, clinics, physios, and trades that visit.
Each service with its days, from its first table to its last seating.
The last table you'll seat, not when the kitchen shuts.
What people can book: a name, how long it takes, a price (empty means “on request”) and who gives it. Hide a service you no longer offer rather than removing it — its past bookings keep their name either way.
Optional. With nobody listed, one appointment at a time is offered. With people listed, each can take one at a time, a service can be limited to some of them, and a visitor may pick who — or leave it to you.
| Table size | How many |
|---|
Sizes and counts — this is what decides how many bookings you are offered. The Floor tab is where you draw the room itself; the two are kept separate on purpose, because the arithmetic here is what a diner meets and the plan there is only ever yours to see.
A 20:00 booking keeps its table until 21:30.
Never offered online. Yours for the door and for regulars who ring.
Their name, number and notes go; the booking stays, with its date and party size.
Zero means you don't. A card link goes to the guest by email once you've confirmed; it comes off their bill on the night. Collected by Kwipps and settled to you.
Empty means no card is ever asked for. Nothing is charged when the card is held: the guest sees the fee and when cancelling stops being free.
Guests tick "I accept the booking conditions and the privacy notice" before they book. Leave the conditions empty and the page writes them from your settings: how long the table is kept, the card and its fee, until when cancelling is free.
In other languages
Guests pick one as a preference. The rooms are the floors of your floor plan; rename or add them on the Floor tab.
On: a few hours after a party has left, the guest gets one email thanking them and linking to your Google review page (the link in Settings › Links — nothing is sent without it), with a one-click “don’t ask me again”. Once per visit, never to a guest who said no. In Germany a review request by email counts as advertising and needs the guest’s consent — ask there first, or leave this off.
On: a guest who ticks “text me” on the form gets a text when the booking is confirmed and a reminder the day before, alongside the emails, with their link to change or cancel. Your plan includes 100 texts a month; after that, packs of 50 for CHF 5 (buy and see what was delivered).
Up to five — the occasion, allergies, a high chair. A line to type in, or a box to tick; required or not. Write the question in each language your website speaks (an empty one shows the English). The answers are on the booking, in your email about it, and in the API.
The phone number is shown under every booking form. If the form is ever down, it is how a diner still reaches you — so bookings can't be switched on without it.

These are ceilings, not forecasts — they assume every table refills the moment it turns. If the total is nowhere near a real busy night, the turn time is usually the thing to change.
Your own emails, at the moments you choose — “parking is behind the building” the day before, a thank-you the morning after. They go beside the confirmation and the reminder, once per booking, to confirmed guests who gave an email address, in their language when you have written it.
